Jack in this case is alcohol. Well you can call him Jack Daniels.

Yesterday, I read about a Nepali artiste (something Shah) who lost his house, cars and had to be divorced with his wife because of excessive drinkin. So I wrote this song. I have tried to make the guitar solo in this song like that of bhajan in temples where people play sitar or bina. I have tried it to sound sad but I do not know whether I have succeeded in that. Please check it out and provide your constructive criticisms.

Jack was a friend of mine

Relaxed and chilled it stood by itself in the corner
You shook hands firmly no one even dared to blame you
Its very first impression was that of a genie in a bottle
You were glad to meet it till its deadly charm went on to enslave you

Chorus:
In its iron grip you were chained
How you wish your life could come to an end

Guitar Solo

Flowing in abundance, beginning of decadence
Surely leading thru Hell55 motorway
Turmoil and delusions taking over your subconscious conscience
Till you careened off the road in a broken state now you lay
Repeat Chorus

Rolled in paper, it let the good times roll
People dying to live but you took life for granted
Burning like hell, its aroma took it toll
On the verge of death, you are left alone and left stranded

Now, this is my first complete song in the sense that I have added bass to it to give this song a fuller tone. Also, just re - recorded the guitar solo to give a cleaner tone. This is a very very slow song, influenced by Pink Floyd I would say. The guitar solo is influenced by bhajan tunes in Pashupati.

Please check and provide some suggestions/criticisms.

Mahisasur ji, if you created that whole music and the lyrics....you have some talent,i esp like your lyrics, but as far as your singing you "need" a lot of work. You deserve 2 and a half salute out of 4.

Hello Mahisasur,
you are trying your best to put the sound in the computer but i think there are some hindrances. You can improves your drum sound. For that, you can buy Drum Loop software, like Demands on Drums or different others that are in the market. You can browse this website for new gadgets and cool softwares:http://www.guitarvision.com/mf/mf_frameset.htm
Also, you can tweak your guitar sound and vocals with little effects from the recording software. Check out the free Kristal recording software on the web. They have a built in effects and you can turn it on or off on each track you record. They have chorus, echo, delay, flanger, etc.
Lot of Nepali band and southasian band sound crappy due to the lack of recording resources. If they were to record in a high end studio, even the novice musican will sound good.
Good luck..keep up the spirit

I-nepali, thanks for nice words. I am working harder to be better. Cool ji, be assured the words and music are all mine. Sense, I am please that you liked the guitar pieces. I worked hard especially on the solo which took a good two hours just to be created, forget about recording with proper timing. But I am glad that I could put that oriental touch (Pashupati ko bhajan :) touch to it.

Obrian, thats a cool suggestion. I will definitely keep that in mind. By the way, till now the onlyl effects I have used is those which can be used on stage for guitar (like distortion/ compressor, chorus). I havent used anything for voice. No wonder, my voice sucks :)

In case anyone is wondering, Hell55 motorway is a creation of my liberal imagination to rhyme with A55 motorway in UK. While A55 motorway is a major way from North Wales to England, Hell55 motorway is supposed to lead to Hell :)

Please have a listen and feel free to download

His voice is not that bad. It sounds good enough to me but the lyrics and music is outstanding like always. Nice piece of lead guitar as well. Keep it up mahissasur.

@nepalibabu is trying to tempt me to sell the song for Rs.16? No way. 16 rupiya ma ta sarai marka parcha, yeti perishram pareko chij. 16 dollar bhaneko bhaye kya ho kya ho, I could have considered the offer:)
Crap, I am flattered by your nice words and also very pleased :) Thanks. Few new songs are coming out soon.

Meanwhile I have a new site. This site is more happening than Soundclick. Some very well known bands are also there but on the flip side, it can accomodate only 4 songs at a time. You can check my profile with some songs there as well. I have also posted some pics taken during recording. Please have a look.
