Hi everyone, I just want to share this with you:
Differences in race, color of the skin, and shape of the face are only skin-deep. What matters is what is inside. Gita unequivocally says in many places that God resides inside every being, Not only that, God is all-pervading, as described in 17 shlokas of Vibhutiyog (10/21 ? 10/37). After this detailed description, Gita goes on to say that ?Everything in this world is an expression of My divinity?.
About differences in creed or religion or belief system, Gita teaches ?Sarva Dharma Svikaar?. One should respect all religions, because they are all just different ways to reach God. Conversion from one religion to another is discouraged. In fact, God says in Gita that He approaches the devotee in the same way as the devotee worships Him. Not only that, He increases the devotee?s faith in any form the devotee chooses to worship God.
About the apparent difference of caste, race, color of the skin, Lord Krishna says in the Gita that all the castes and races are his creation. How can they be different, if they are all his children?
After we understand this at an individual level, it naturally follows that ?The other is not the other, but he is my brother?. This brotherhood becomes truly universal when we learn to appreciate, and see God in every creature.
Thanks.
