Hello all. I have master degree from back home in finance. I am trying to find some job but looks like it is hard without getting some degree in US. All my friends keep telling me to join QA. I tried marketing for some time. But for some reason its hard to get job as I am not able to move from my place due to my kids. My husband keep asking me to join college and get some degree and maybe that would be more fruitful. I have been thinking hard about it and looks like either its degree in medical or degree in teaching. For degree in medical like RN or for medical assistant, my main problem is I do not have biology background and if I wanna spend so much time and money in teaching degree, I am not sure if there is a good scope. Please somebody can suggest me, what would be the best thing to do or if there are other degrees that would be better.

Its not easy finding job regardless of your foreign degree. It all depend upon what you have, and what you want to achieve. If I were you, I would focus on getting another degree probably accounting or enhance the skills in Information and technology. Passion, and dedication is the most. Raising kids is challenging task. If you have location constraint, you can start your own business after taking some training. Lots of options. Sky is the limit . Good luck!

going to college is overrated....especially when you already have master's degree. if you are good with tools used in office setting (Microsoft package, quickbooks), you can get a job in any financial institution..... getting certified in Excel opens many doors...

to be honest you can use that degree from nepal as a toilet paper. any degree from nepal!!! if you want to stay in finance......start at any finance department....like a local bank or something. Key is to get in at a entry level just to get foot-in-the-door. From there, build contact/network and work your way up. Don't go to interview with the master degree ego....especially from nepal. they won't even know "what" nepal is. It's not what you know....it's who you know!!! Start small to go BIG!! But if you don't want to stay in finance....go to IT security....it's a hot market which will be saturated pretty soon.
