<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Hello this small information to all the Nepalese people living in US>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Once (3 months ago) my friend who is one of the Board of director of ....... Development Bank Ltd. went to US Embassy Kathmandu to obtain Visa for visit USA. He had all of the required documents to put there in the application form. He had good interview also there with the consular. His education was Masters Degree in First division in Economics and had lots of experience in different UN funded project, he has 2 children, wife, good family, father was retired DIG of police, plenty of property but he was rejected his visa. Rejection cause was not sure to return back Nepal (In my study cause was different). He was rejected including his father in law (75 years). This is only one example of capable and return confirmed people did not get the visa.

I had told to take some good suggestion and preparation before going US embassy for interview but he denied; result had came to negative.

Thus, many of the Nepalese people living in US wants to bring their relatives/parents/sibling/spouse for short term visit but US embassy in KTM does not give them visa. It has a cause. Why they don't give the visa. Guidance is important before going to US Embassy for visa interview. I got small mistaken by Nepalese people living in US, that is they take suggestion from lawyer practicing in USA, this is the great mistake, Lawyer from CA, NY, or LA does not have idea why US embassy in KTM does give visa or does not give the visa. It is important question.

Okay, this became long text, thank you for reading, and sorry for inconvenience and poor English. I am Ramhari Pandey practicing with US visa processing for 7 years. You can reach me at ramharipandey286(at)gmail.com

Instead of making a thread and advertising yourself, why don't you give advise to other people on other threads.

My experience says that the consulars are more supportive to people with government job. It happened in four cases as I know. Both of my parents are government officer and both of them got visa for 5 years. Same with my fiance. One of my friend's dad was government officer and mother was housewife. His dad only got the visa. In one more case, my friend's dad was sachib and he only got 4 months visa.
It looks the way I think. Just my 2 cents..

Okay, I read all of the feedback.
In My experience Students are getting 1-2 Percent visa success in American Embassy Kathmandu, Rest getting 8-10 % visa success these days.
My First Suggestion.
# First, Please prepare the answer of WHY you want to go USA. This is their First question, which follows the second or third question. They may or may not question following.
# Second, Make you travel to USA most important. This is also related to answer of WHY but, it has many related process and procedure.
# Third, Your motivational answer must be impressed to the visa consular.

# The above ideas are just simplified, besides of above ideas, martial status, property, government service, political ideology, gesture, descipline showing and many more subjects are important obtaining the visa for US.

The above generalize points are important but it includes many of the process and documentation, which is varies with individual and their purpose of the visit.

Regards
