Google Incs, determined not to be left behind by the social-media revolution recently lunched Google Buzz giving a huge threat to incumbent social sites Facebook and Twitter.  According to Google's official blog, it is a new way to start conversations about the things you find interesting and share updates, photos, videos and mories.

Google Buzz focused on making the sharing experience by integrating photos, videos, and links. Buzz makes it easy to quickly flip through photos and experience them the way they were meant to be seen: big and full-resolution. And videos play inline so you can watch them without opening a new window.

Google Buzz is its most ambitious attempt to do just that, integrating the Gmail Web interface with
status updates and media-sharing technology in an attempt to convince the social media addicts of the world to spend more time on Google's sites than on competitors like Facebook or Twitter; generating valuable
data in the process.

Well, Google already has social networking site called orkut.com which is quite popular in India why don't they enhance it and market it?

"I find your lack of faith disturbing."

Buzz is gonna kill them all ;)

already lot of ppl hv started buzzin.

Fb changed its layout (once again), people getting pissed off cuz its another thing they have to get used to, Buzz comes out, right in your face with their gmail integration, simplicity to use, works great cuz of the so many months of gwave beta testing, and best of all, adding friends is ezmode!

lets see how Buzz fares! I got my hopes in the positive!

Buzz will surely go to the path of google chrome. One big hype in the start but utter failure at last. I just gave buzz a try and it's just a big dumb a**. Facebook is facebook and nothing gonna beat it.

not only in social networking medias,  Google has also planned to enter in ISP business offering 1gbps high speed connection through its fiber networks.  See Article (http://gigaom.com/2010/02/10/google-fiber/ )

Few days ago Apples CEO  Steve Jobs complained that the Google has rolled into Apple’s soil by launching the Nexus One phone. See Article (http://www.webfrog.co.za/apple-ceo-steve-jobs-criticize-google-adobe )

I can understand, Google can make extra money from Ads through social sites but wondering why it is attracted towards these hardware and network businesses.

Anything is possible anywhere. i think what Google is trying to do is put hand in everywhere and get succeed in at least few. this is their good strategy. whenever they see there is possibility of going through they just hit. This is the sign of a good marketer. They keep track of market and hit at the right point.
