Processing times for advance parole through TPS ~ approximately 3 months. You can expedite and get it within few weeks if you have urgent humanitarian cause, like somebody in family is ill. You have to provide documentation for it. Documents needed along with completed for I-131: (1) A copy of your Government issued photo ID (passport or EAD card) (2) A copy of your TPS approval letter (3) An explanation why you are applying for advance parole Good luck! Am in process of applying mine too. Btw, were you in legal status before TPS or you were out of status? I have been out of status for a while, so don't know if it will cause problems at POE. Anybody who knows more information about this, please comment on this thread!

furke doesn't matter out of status or not. I just came back from travel via TPS. Also if it is absolute emergency , DHS office can make an AP within minutes at a field office. Thats what I did.

@fdpower, Thanks for the info. I thought the same after reading about Matter of Arabally. @ lin, here is the link http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-131instr.pdf Also, even though it doesn't say photos on the required documents, send two passport size photos anyway, so you don't get an RFE. Good luck!

@ lin, I don't have a lawyer. I'm doing it all by myself. Got EAD and approval letter in 1.5 months.

Not to scare you guys but I heard a bad news that recently a guy who went to Nepal under TPS denied entry at NY POE. I do not know the details about his case but told that he was out of status before TPS. So, I would suggest hiring lawyer. Please share if you guys know anything about AP, esp POE clearance is entirely at the discretion of the Immigration officer however. Nothing is for sure and every case is different.

I just got back from Nepal. Under TPS (advance parole) I'm out of status before TPS. There is no immigration check at JFK Airport. I faced immigration check at Abu Dhabi airport. But, guys every person has different story so, should take risk on, No one 100% sure about that. Even the lawyers. Take a look on yourself and your case Good luck ....

Does it needs to be in some sort of status while we come back from travel on AP. I mean after Tps and traveling on AP , do you need to be in H1, F1 maintaining the visa status on it?

Do you know how much should we pay for travel documents? If urgent, where should we go and how can we apply Travel document? Somebody is saying we can get it within minutes from field office if urgent. What does it means? Where is field office to apply urgent Travel document? If urgent we have to show some extra documents. What is extra documents? Do we need to bring extra documents, such as medical report from Nepal? if you have ideas please give me detail information. Thanks
