hey Guys,

I am under H1 but my H1 visa stamp has expired as i have started the 2nd half of the 6 yr. My brother is here in the US on visitor visa and has 6 mnths on his I-94 and has 5 yrs multiple visa. I am thinking about taking him to canada and coming back to US so he will get another 6 mnths stamped.

I have read that since i have been stamped H1 visa once(even though it has expired) i can take my H1 documents and come back to US without a visa if i return within 30 days. Is this correct?

Also, as far as getting a new I-94 stamp for my brother, does it matter if we go to or return from canada via Car or flight?

Please let me know if any of you have experience with this.

Thanks
