Time and again, keeping in tune with the flow of energy here on sajha, we have had to make few positive changes here and there. I am sure we all agree that sajha is an excellent source of time pass for most of us who visit the site regularly. It is very encouraging to see excellent pieces of writing here on sajha once in a while. But, as the nature of discussion forums go, these writings disappear into oblivion very soon. Hence lot of good writings disappear from view into the annals of the sajha archives. In order to provide an easier way to access good pieces of writing, I am currently coming up with a concept of a WRITERS' GUILD - with coaxing from few sajhaites - which will be a webpage where accompliced writers from sajha will be able to post their pieces directly into a non-discussion based Newsletter Formated page, sort of like suskera if you will, but where the accompliced writers will be able to post at will. The notion is that this Writers' Guild will entertain more serious writing and not immature bashings and one liners that we see so very often in sajha. This guild is going to be different in that it will have few articles posted by few writers but which are of more quality. Selection of writers will be by invitation only. I have a few writers in mind who have time and again written excellent pieces, but I would like to hear from you visitors on who you would vote for. Also, if you are interested in participating in this kind of site, please let me know directly at admin@sajha.com Best Wishes, San

Thats a good point SITARA ji, But Submission would create a huge flow of writing and its gonna be hard In the other end to decide which to be published unless we have some dedicated Personel to filter through. Just my one cent analysis. Thanks

San should just go ahead and start up the site withought having to involve the sajhaits. Involving the Sajhaits will only compound and transmit the seemingly innate problem in sajha of calibered Vs. uncalibered writers aptitude and raise unnecessary questions. Submission based post sounds like a preferable medium. My suka.

'Accomplished writer' is probably a wrong (at least politically) word. However, for a well intended purpose, we certainly can put the postings (not the posters, ni) into two categories based on their size (not the quality, again that's too subjective) write-ups ( at least a paragraph of a decent size) and chat (one-liners of the sort). A good balance of them will be a good strategy for Sajha's long term survival and competitive edge, in my view. Sajha indeed used to have a good number of writer type of posters. Many of them, including my most favorite ones, have disappeared or post rarely. It is likely that each individual has unique reason and circumstance for that to happen. Some may have set different priorities, some may have tired of personal fights, some may have thought they are addicted too much and are going through rehab. As the owner, you indeed deserve right to think of changes that will encourage the old posters to return or be active again and new comers or silent readers to be writer posters. I honestly don't know how that can be successfully done. However, I agree that giving more visibility or at least easier access to these decent sized works may be one of the many things helpful. However, I absolutely disagree with the suggestion of no reply type of closed postings. I strongly believe that the strength of Sajha and the reason for it's popularity is the large number of postings in reply. A separate site could be okay for experimentation for now. Although I think it might divide the total strength into two halves. However, the idea of a closed Guild does not sound good. Mero dui paisa.

YAH ...THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS ...IN OUR RELIGION..TOO..BRAHMANS..THE HIGHEST CAST..AND MOST EDUCATED ONES...THOUGHT THEY WERE THE GREATEST ONE AND STARTED MAKING RULES....THAT IS WHY PEOPLES..TO MUCH EDUCATION IS BAD IF PEOPLES CANNOT THIINK FROM A GROUNDS OF PRESPECTIVE...- -----MONEY STLYE , KIDDO INFLUENCE..

Like Gham-Pani suggested.. change the name of this site as well from "SAJHA." Confused is right. If San wants writers for his new web-site, there are many in the street who are "accomplished" and are waiting for an opportunity. And yes, DP, San owns this site, he can do whatever he wants with it. He can definitely be the only one to post and read threads here.

I am a regular visitor to Sajha and often a silent reader other than posting once in a while some smarty pant comments. But yes, whatever time I spend here, I would like to read pieces from the writers who have some distinct views supported by better command of English. Whatever a "Page 2", the creator of this forum site was talking about sounds great to me. At least, I as a visitor, can read better thoughts and better ideas from writers with superior persuasive skills to convince me or impress me by thier thoughts no matter how much I disagree with it than in general, writers with a mediocre thoughts with elementary English that we often see here in Sajha. Now I do not know what is a criteria for "accomplished writer" but this idea of having better writers in one site is great. I often come here expecting to read some decent arguements but more often what I see here is that better writers are ganged-up against by some mediocre hyenas with teenaged type arguements and cheap bashing and that really makes me sick. I know I do not have to visit this site if I think it is a big joke but the crave of reading the better pieces of fellow Nepalese always brings me here. Lets hear from people with great thoughts without thier arguements being quashed by some stupid people getting personal and disparaging remarks with often male-ego dominated comments. This is a great idea of San and I want to see better things happening rather than absolute mediocrity

You must keep sending work out; you must never let a manuscript do nothing but eat its head off in a drawer. You send that work out again and again, while you're working on another one. If you have talent, you will receive some measure of success - but only if you persist. PPl do say that"Write something to suit yourself and many people will like it; write something to suit everybody and scarcely anyone will care for it."so wht i believe in is Inspiration is wonderful when it happens, but the writer must develop an approach for the rest of the time... The wait is simply too long. As i don't go through every single post here can't vote for any specific one but i wanna say In comparing various authors with one another, I have discovered that some of the gravest and latest writers have transcribed, word for word, from former works, without making acknowledgment. Everyone is born with genius, but most people only keep it a few minutes.

Alright. I think I got some pretty good feedback on this and am thinking of a submission based site. I do believe that 'accomplished' was a wrong choice of word! In any event, I appreciate the fact that quite a few of you understand the need for this site. Thank you everyone for your valuable suggestions and for taking time to write your opinions. Sajha has many talented writers and a literary site devoted to good writing is in order here. The Sajha Writers' Guild is coming soon to a browser near you!

so who will read all the articles?? who will me judding what will be published and what wont?? hmm hope this will be easy to work out... as for me, i enjoy the current sajha, i get to read stuffs from Gokul sir, to kalam wali bai, frm money bro to sense, frm ashu to jagalte bhoot, frm Sonika to Mussolini, frm Dannah to domi, and from why are guys better than gals humor, this is a nice mixture of a a compound, if the sajha's hot sister will plunge in, then some of the writers wont even write here, they will go follow the hot gal and that in itself will be sad....and obviously why r we trying to make sajha so formal, good writing has been appreciated here too and will be appreciated there too, but the only diff. is, in here every kale, bhate, kukur, gadha, is able to voice his opinion and that in itself is great..we are able to see so many personalities combine and generate a compound out here, but if some of the elements is taken away, how can the same compound be generated??

.San Since you have already mentioned that you already have some writers in mind to start, it would be better if you notify those writers through emails. Ask them to submit their articles and columns directly to you for editing purposes( yeah, you would also have to get hold of a really good editor for both Nepali and English). There's another request: Try to combine the new venture within the sajha.com so that we don't have to go through the gruelling process of finding out or typing out the new website's address. I think the new plan should be a part of the current sajha.com website. That will not only add vigor to the site, but will also enhance the quality and further recognisability of the already popular sajha.com. Just a suggestion.

To those who are worried about not being to provide feedback to writings in the new site - you can always post the link here and start a discussion about it.
