Thanks! I was looking in other sites as well as many other Sajha Posts under "immigration" and found that there are people who are stuck with 221 g. Is there anyone in Sajha who could share their interview experience with Visa Officer for such kind of situation. What they want to verify, after all , it is approved from USCIS. Your help would be really helpful to others who are planning to go there for Visa Stamping in near future. Thanks !

It gives u Info on the Nogales Consulate at Mexico. But no Info abt KTM consulate.
PIMS is not a show stopper. The consulate will verify if the petition is in the database and if not will request that it be added for verification. It should take 2-4 days.

Hi Guys, thank you for your input. I was asked by some freind to try in Canada if open. I have following reactions /suggestions. what do you think ? What I heard from some Indian frens that the CANADA is sometime risky than home country as if you got stuck, you will increase your credit card bill by thousands of dollars. There is almsot no possibility that the Visa is not issued as the I 797 is already approved, but only the doubt is about how soon and how much difficulty. I will post some info If I get any information for that. But at the same time, when do we have to send the e-mail to Consulate for PIMS verification. Whether they will accept the request before taking the visa appointment or after visa appointment ? Please throw some insights in this topic. Thanks

I had my stamping done from KTM in March. My H1 is from a Indian consultancy and have been working since 2007. Below is the document I submitted:
1. Approval Notice I797 2. Copy of LCA 3. Recent Paystubs (Last 3 months) 4. All Previous I20's(Nice to Have to prove u were not violating status) 5. Job offer Letter Signed and Dated. 6. Letter from ur Company that u r Employed in H1b Status 7. W2's 8. Transcripts,Diplomas
Below are the questions I was asked:
1. What do you do? 2. how many employees do you have on your company? 3. Are they all in H1? 4. what is your work location? - name of the City 5. do you like it there?
ok, come to pick up your visa tomorrow @12.30.

If you are sure of getting married, get your visa interview asap as u won't have enough time during dec. as it is high time for application for F1. THe consular will record your future wife's name in your profile and it will not be difficult for your wife to get visa provided you get it first.
