Hi ya'll,

My friend had applied for adjustment to Permanenet Resident Status based on asylum. Can somone suggest what happens now? Does she need to go back to Nepal immediately? Can she re-apply?

How did her asylum get denied? I mean on what ground? Did they state the reason?

intial asylum was applied on her husband's name who expired a few months before she applied for green card. He went back to nepal knowing that his days were numbered because at that time the lawyer she was using told that it would not be a problem. She applied for green card on her own even though she was only a dependent on the initial asylum. That was the reason given to her.
