Guys listen to our new national anthem ,, I found it ,,,,, well writen,, but music sucks. With do respect to our great musician AMAR GURUNG, flow of the music in this song is very one dimensional. Music of the old anthem was well composed. There was flow to it, pitch went from one level another,,while siging old song, brought feeling,,, not because of the words,, but the tune.

hey fellows.....what i see is...there is melody of old national anthem on our mind which is still playin...becoz we r listening n remembering since our childhood.....will be hard to adjust new one...what i tell u people out there....the new generation students studyin in early class 1, 2 whateve..will start to like this new song as they hab to study in their coursebook howeve"""""...and all will start to like no matter wid the age.

Well we can debate on and on, but what i gotta say is that "i am not satisfied with the new national anthem". Why?? it sounds like a laid back song without any potential to energize the one who sings it. And "SANTIBHUMI" ??? What is that ? Even a 5 yrs old kid won't get buy into that. Not realistic. The most thing i was disappointed was about not conveying this concept/message: "The country has stepped into a new era now, the message of lets develop our nation with new spirit" is missing. Man, we nepalese can do better than that.

The national anthem needs to be scrapped. First step is compose the music then compose the lyrics.

Myyyaannnn..Poon-hill you are so right...its not motivating ..the old tune brings so much energy and the urge to do something for the nation..but this one sounds like a lok geet like someone mentioned and big deal if it covers ppl from mechi to makakali..where is the message to move ahead !!!to march forward.. to develop ....it doesn't heat up our blood ..its flat !!!! ... I can't imagine the orchestra playing it..the old one sounded really nice and classy ..this one sucks!!!!

I dont feel like this is a national anthem, no way. This is more  like a  khaate style poem. I dont blame  byakul maila. I give him thumps up for writing nice poem. But  I feel bad about him that he is not being able to write  a bold National Anthem. Satyamohan joshi must be drinking jaand when he was selecting this Lok-Geet. Forgetting the sacrifice our forefathers blood in defending our country and uniting Nepal as one country along with the Kings............Now look at Nepal it has become a joke... do not worry you all will get used to it? No body can nothing now, may be this change overtime (in long duration).
But Nepal's king can not gain a good fame !!! Paras and Gan can not be good rulers.

After I read the lyrics of new nepali anthem i was disappointed. Although it is a good poem with nice words put together succintly, It has no life in it. Just nice words with no spirit. There is no doubt that the poem in general is pro public and pro nepali, unfortunately it lacks the energy and power. I mean You do not feel anything after you read it. While reading the poem I felt the poem underwent some brutal amputation as the selection committe was strict on one of the rules that the song should have less than fifty words. As ridiculous it is it may sound, the committee seemed to undermine other more important characters national anthems around the world usually have, for example:


1. the contribution of people: Our national anthem has one line about the contribution of nepali to Nepal: वीरहरुका रगतले, स्वतन्त्र र अटल। It is a shame that we forgot the sacrifice of hundreds of martyrs while penning down the national anthem. It is so weird that the anthem is rewritten as a result of the public revolution and it has no mention of it. The line is also too frugal in eulogizing the glorious past we had which shaped the present Mechi to Mahakali Nepal. Understood we are bahul jati dharma and sanskriti but Can we not cherish "Nepali" and "Nepal" in a better way.

2.cherishing the freedom and democracy, for god sake we have always been an independent soverign country. Never been ruled by any outsider!

3. Mention of the glorious flag


I am also severely diappointed with Amber Gurung's mediocre ,laid back, lethargic and at any cost it does not sound/smell/taste like a national anthem-composition. However, since it has already been our national anthem, I am going to stop my whining about it right now. I am already half way in memorizing the words and hopefully I can sing it in a few days. i guess its a brilliant poem but does not qualify to the level of a National Anthem........ sorry penman, sorry musician.

This new National Anthem really sucks!!! It is not as catchy as the previous one, musicwise not a lyricswise. Sounds like those songs from Radio Nepal's Bal Karykram...I would say instead make "Hatne hoina datti Ladne" our new national anthem man.

in this century no people can be god to be praised, and king can not be living god too...

if you look history, the people have more role to right for the country and many people have scrificed their lives ..that is much important..then to just praise the king..

I agreee this song may not be perfect one ...but the last song treats people as " Praja" not a civilian with right.. this is not tolerable..

I do not praise just some party or alience.. nor say mioist are right..but the right thing is Nepalese people are right and we need to make them powerful rather any party or individual (whether that is king?)

They have not included any thing about any party or individual rather this is dedicated to all Nepalese.. Why can not you be happy??
