Manchester United have clinched their first Premiership title since 2003 following Chelsea's 1-1 draw against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The result sees United, who have now won the Premiership a record nine times, seven points clear at the top of the table with just two games left.

Boss Sir Alex Ferguson said: "It's a fantastic day for the club and fans.

"There was an emphasis on the league and the key was our good start. Once we made that, we never lost it."

Ferguson added: "The Premier League is such a competitive league and the focus and the pressure on the big clubs makes it a focus for us.

"I used to have an obsession of winning in Europe but the Premiership has become a priority."

Once we got the lead it was always going to be hard to dislodge us

The United boss, 66, said his side's superb start to the season and the attitude of his players were the vital factors in their success.

Nani was absolutely fantastic in the second half against Roma..As usual Tevez's work was extraordinary...Scholes and Carrick had a subdued performance but I guess it was because of the tactics..United was running all the balls through the flanks!!....Oshea was the weakest link in my opinion...Evra was absolutely brilliant in defence as well as going forward...Vidic and Ferdinand were resolute as always...Tomasz was hardly tested...and what a stunning finish from Rooney.....!!!Glory Glory Man Utd

BTW guys i was watching a show on football songs....did you know that the song "You will never walk alone" sung by Scousers these days is actually a Man Utd song...It was composed for Man Utd after the Munich Air Disaster where the then manager Matt Busby lost more than half of the first team in that plane crash...
Many clubs have claimed the song to be theirs like Everton, Celtic etc but it is actually a Man UTD song...

Hey Surum as far as of my knowledge "You will never wlk alone" is a Liverpool Song. I have never heard that song sang in ManU matches and always seen in Liverpool matches. I am ManU fan though.

arsenal were robbed of two penalties. man united jus got lucky to manage draw.

Good life, Man Utd is already out of carling cup, coz we never wanted to win it. We were the better of the two teams satruday putting we were playing away from home and still intended to score first. Your second goal came off up poor refreeing from howard webb. It is a long run mate, but we are going to beat you just like we did in 2003 when you all led for most of the season, and we won it at the end. I still remember you guys of top player loosing to relegated leeds united.

xEro its too arrogant to tell that we never wanted to win Carling cup. Nobody wants to loose a game and moreover with a very low profile team like Coventry. U could say it was 2nd choice team but remember there were 6 full international players in that game.

Goodlife!! Champions league title is ManU's this season and no doubt we will come better the gunners in domestic league also. U can take FA cup and carling cup....

Tevez... Rooney .... Nani ... Ronaldo .......Giggs best players and nice combination . Man United will win this season

still things are not that clear . 7 more games to go for ManU. chelsea and arsenal games are to come, other games also are tough with blackburn, westham. chelsea has relativly easy games as they have only manu as tough team. still intreging situation. six point lead 21 points on stake looks interesting. still manu can do it.

i am fan of Rooney... look at him how hard he works for his goal and lady luck is always against him... cheers chitwani hero for the best goal by nani and heard the commentator saying he will go into history books for the goal against arch-rival liverpool. And the free kick by Ronaldo... i heard once that one physics student did the thesis on Beckham's  free kick (ball's movement)... i wonder who will do that on Ronaldo's unconventional free kicks...

well am with chelsea for past 7 years so am sticking with them ,,, and i think they will have double this time

momazpet i dont mean they will slip but i just want to give a picture about whats coming in the future. reddevil is my team u can get it as i have explained the scenario. ya manu played great football and rooney was unlucky not to have his name in the scorelist.nani's goal was brilliant. liverpool didint did well while defending . overall it was bad defending under pressure from manu attack

Hail Man United and Lets march towards the UEFA championship trophy. We are almost secured in EPL. No team can come on the way Title. Its sad though We are already out of FA cup.
