What is our modern day society based upon ? Computers, Micro Surgeries, modern medicine ....etc etc are all based upon logic and reasoning. When you get a headache ..does it make sense to Pray or take an Asprin ? When you have cancer, does make sense to pray or go see a Oncologist ?

Ok you god treats you like a child fine. But my beat the crap out of me when I did something wrong(like lie, steal, or hurt someone), he did not forgive me. He told me it was wrong and made a mark to remind me. Whereas it seems like you Father(god) is ok even if you are soemone like Saddam or Hitler if they accept Christ as their saviour ? Hmmmm ....

That is the beauty of religion in the first place, i think. It is beyond your faith, logic and understanding. It is one thing that makes you believe in future, gives you hope and keeps you going even in the bad phases of your life.

And yes, there are people who have prayed when they realized they had cancer and have been healed. I am sure there are lots of stories like that. However, my faith is still very small and infant and so i tend to logic more. But i would say religion is a journey and you will learn more about God as you grow, experience different obstacles in life and learn more. Faith is something we all exercise when nothing else works again. God has given us the mind to think and logic and so it makes sense to take aspirin when you have headache but then when you are strike with incurable cancer, then we tend to shout to God.

Also, I am so thankful that my God forgives me, otherwise where would i go? i mean i have done so much sin and mistakes in my life that no punishment can ever make it right.
But then i will have to face the consequenses of those mistakes myself. That is the rule of our life again.

These things are very complicated to explain to people like you so i would say it is an experience. I do not want to complicate things here.

if it makes you happy believing in what you believe in then more power to you bro. i only believe in things that are based on logic and science. for this reason i haven't been able to appreciate any religion from a religious standpoint however i can see the relevance of vedic teachings from a philosophical point of view. I do not consider myself atheist but i do not care if there is god who created us or it was just a mere coincidence of certain phenomenon or we could be just an experimentation of some super intelligent alien species out there. who knows. I am fine with any possibilities. because it's not going to change my life my moral values and my character. if somebody were able to prove that there is no god (which is highly unlikely just like one cannot prove there is) do you think we will all start killing and looting each other. i do not think so. there is an intrinsic badness and goodness in all of us which keep changing in their ratio through out our life. this is define as the GUNAS in the vedic scriptures. you don't do things because you believe in god or not it comes from within ans we all know humans are capable of great compassion and atrocities at the same time.

" God love the world so much that he gave his begotten son JESUS. whoever believe in him shall not perish but have enternal life". AND Mokshya bro, I can feel how those women made you mad. Christainity is giving not taking and the proof of that is Jesus died for the sin of the mankind to pay the debt of sin. I believe that it is greatest love some one can show to other by giving life. it is only going to irritate people. you said Jesus died for sin of the mankind, now i can't say i am perfect but since when Jesus died i wasn't in existence and neither were you so somebody who doesn't exist cannot have sin. can they? so jesus did not die for my sins. He died (if he did that is) only for his anti-establishment hippy-like stance against the authoritative entities.

there are so many jesus dying all around the world because they are either pro-establishment freaks or anti-establishment morons.

Good point Birbhadra. I was once listening a debate between two of my friends: Canadian Christian girl and a Bangladeshi Moslim guy. The guy said, "Islam is scientific." Then he continued, "Islam is more scientific than Christianity". I was about to burst with laugh but I was able to control it.

I want to ask all those Christians and Moslims (to Hindus as well) who believe that their religion/faith are more scientific: Where is the place of your God in Science? Is God creating all this science. If not, is there another creater? If yes, why he is towards suiciding step? Because, stronger the science, the weaker the religion/faith is.

Interestingly, why they think science superior than their faith or religion by comparing their religion or faith with science. Yes, they know their religion is inferior to science and they compete each other to make ordinary people believe that their faith is comparable to science, sometihng superior abstract concept. They don't even know that science is NEVER true, what they know then?

I want all yo blind asses to reasses why you joined Christianity !! I have read both the Old and the New Testament(for class). I was willing to convert if the Christians could answer a few questions. And just like you cowards THEY HAD NO ANSWERS. I even went to all different congregations(Catholic, Christian Reform, Charismatic, , Baptist, Southern Baptist ..you name it) in search of the answers. And all of them came up empty. From Preachers to Priests all resorted to that FAITH. A rational human being would not put faith in something like they were blind. If Bible says jump ..will you ? Again its all about faith, isn't it ? If you really have faith YOU WILL JUMP(like a puppet). Its ok to have faith but GOD GAVE YOU A BRAIN TOO ..he he USE IT.

It's really stupid to fight about religion. Almost all religions have negative aspects and positive aspects. Not everything can be explained as they have been passed down from a very long time back.
