Dear Nation Loving Nepalese,

I have heard enough crying of Anti, hope you all have too! I just finished watching King's interview following his trip to different parts of Nepal. I have found him to have a much greater understanding of Nepal and Nepali people's needs than any other so called "democratic leaders" of our country.

I was wondering, if anyone would be interested to welcome our King in NY. Just like when people in Germany didn't protest against the Nazis, they were considered pro-nazis. Our silence is not our weakness, but actions do speak louder than words.

Those in East Coast, I urge you to make your presence felt. I do not want to follow the political leaders because I do not plan to become a minister or an ambassador.
Peace is patriotic. I say yes to national interests and interests of the poorest people of my country.

Let's all realize we are all Nepalese. We all love Nepal. Lets give King a CHANCE. Let's welcome our King and let him know we do stand by him and our country as true nation loving Nepalis.

I wasnt not excpecting thread longer but surprisingly this thread is long enough. I am surprise to see the people at the present time who support man not idea. Monarchy is nothing it is just a chain of men ( frm one man to his elder son). Well my point is not to justify every man in that chain is idiot but the person who governs the country should be elected. Who elected king gyanendra to be the prime minister of nepal? ( he is king as well as prime minister at this moment ). If he is not elected then why he always talks about democracy? If he really wants to bring peace and make country free of corruption, why he has put corrupted and hooligan as his ministers ? If he really loves Nepal, then he should solve the present conflicts. But instead he is trying to curb the movement of political parties and maoist. Whoever they are and wtever they are doing, their activities have influenced the countrymens daily life. His tour to several parts of the country doesnt mean country is safe. If he is really honest he should do something right now to respond the current situation of Nepal. If he keeps on just talking and doesnt give relief to the people his life is definitely short. Life of autocratic ruler is definitely short.

kings have ruled for 250 years, didnt 13 years of democracy bring good result? It certainly did, if a priest does something wrong, do you topple the innocent temple? King did the same with democracy. If couple of leaders did wrong, Do you topple the democratic system?

I commend on all of your feelings towards our nation. It indeed feels great to see so many participation from so many intellectuals from different walks of life and different view points.

I am confident, together we can help our King bring us the peace that we all are craving for. So, lets continue to stand united as---

We don't want the corrupt leaders to get back in power again.
We certainly don't want the Maoists.
We certainly don't want to become homeless, seeking refugee status in other countries.

We all wish to be Nepalis first and foremost. It is our identity, it is who we are. We are Nepalis.

Lets help who ever wants to help Nepal, let it be King this time to fight against terrorism and restore peace in our small, poor country.
When peace prevails, democracy will certainly flourish.

These Power greedy Leaders are of NO good to Nepal, lets talk about NC, their constitution or any party?s constitution says, ONE person cant be ?PRESIDENT? 3 times, and here GOES ?GPK?, not biding through his own party?s constitution and running for PRESIDENT, is not he a POWER Greedy ? How would he ?PROTECT? our nation?s constitution if he cant with his own, Yes I agree ?Constitutional Assembly? is required in Nepal, It will take years before we could come up with DECENT, WELL groomed Constitution that will be in favor of Nepali Citizens, but then, do you think these leaders will listen to the general public if ?WE? vote for ?CONSTITUTIONAL ASSEMBLY?, Again NO, they will re draft and approve new constitution in their FAVOR, not in ours.


Now, we have seen, administration policy of ?ELECTED GOVERNMENT? and also seen the ?SO CALLED? Autocratic regime of KING, we don?t like any, SO who is going to RULE Nepal, shall we lease Nepal to India or China?

GIRIJA, went for MIDTERM election while NC had the majority in House, just because, he was to be thrown from the POST of PM, Sher Bahadur formed huge (that is 49 ministers) council of ministers just to be PM and please all the alliances. They are all doing ?POLITICS? for self benefit rather than Nations or citizens wellness.

MAOIST were named ?TERRORIST? during the era of ?GPK?, ?LOKENDRA?, ?SURYA BAHADUR? and ?SHER BAHADUR?, now these butt heads are ready to join hand with ?TERRORIST? to go against KING, so would these LEADERS be TERRORIST too? This is another example of ?SELF wellness? Strategy by THE LEADERS to manipulate our rights, and innocence.

We have our one belief, and we can choose who we want to support, but that does not mean, WE are not Nepali and we don?t feel or care about Nepal. Who are against KING are trying to send a message that who are in favor of KING are ?RASTRA GHATI?, how about you?

Bottom line, you all are taking about DEMOCRACY, right, so don?t we have the right to choose who we want to support? Or follow?

For your kind information MR. HIGHFLY, protesting does not always mean dhunga muda and gang fight. Who said protesting is uncivilized... and yes we do have our self respect and the respect for our Nepalese daju bhai and didi baini.. that is why we are protesting for our rights. Yes we want peace and that's why we are protesting so that the king would realize that wiping the maoist problem by killing each and everyone is not the way to go and can't be done either. What is his real motive, what are the plans for three years, what measures he would take to make a peace with the moaist and to upgrade the quality of life? Just saying i'll do it in three years doesn't do shit.. cause actions has not been taken till 6 months but rather more people are getting killed. The only good thing he did was to remove the old party corrupted politicians.. but why don't he put good leaders on their place ..instead he puts other ex-corrupted netas.. who will do the same thing to our nation. kings' steps has not been any better but has been upset to our people and our country. If he has the power then talk to the maoist and even if he has to throw his monarchy then do it for the country and his people then i will say he is the great king but until then if he has no agenda but to fill his khajana and bank balance.. then i would never support the king.

FYI Mr./Miss Ubiquitous, your rally will not bring any result. Atmost it will bring on sanctions against Nepal for which I am bitterly against. And do not ask me why cause I think you are intelligent enough to think about it.
