This article by Baburam Bhattarai is very touching.

Same person can be hero for somebody and villain for others. Nelson Mandela is hero for many people in the world but he was villain for South African parthaid system. Martin Luther King Jr. was hero many people but he was villain for some people that is why he was assissinated. Asser Arafat was hero for Palestine people and many people who want to see justice in the world but he was vellion for Iseral and the US. Karl Marks was greatest philosor of all time for many people in the world but some do think he was a devil. So, Baburam is also hero for millions of Nepalese, it does not surprise me that there are people who thinks he is bad man. For me he is a revolutionary, he is working to liberate Nepal Aama from centuries of Fudel System. No dobut he will be successful one day, and we are seeing that day is not that far off. So, Baburam is also hero for millions of Nepalese, it does not surprise me that there are people who thinks he is bad man. The debate is digressing. My whole point is that he's the bad guy and they're bad people because they're adding more pain to mountains of miseries of nepal. We should condemn their acts, violence; like the recent example of bombings of schools, food program offices, torturing civilians. Please condemn these acts. But it's certainly not good for a human being to take revenge by saying with I'm glad Vincetbodega is the first person to write words of condolence. My condolences too.

My point is death hurts and it hurts more when you loose the nearest and dearest ones. This is what the people that are responsible for the death of 15,000 lives and counting need to understand. Am I happy that baburams mother died? Of course not. But will I pay condolence to baburam, of course not. I know many who have lost their near and dear ones and this guy is responsible. Do I have grudge against this guy? Of course I do. The people that follow Osama Bin Ladin are called alkaida The people that follow baburam are called maobadis. I would discuss with you (maobadis) or have a meaningful conversation if only you stop violence, extortion and kidnapping. For now you are the worst disease that our country is facing and one day I am sure people will find cure for this dreaded disease.

There are innumerable crimes done by royalists and the Shah dynasty that will come forward after the dynasty is felled. Then there will be an opportunity for everyone to judge Maoists against the backdrop of the royal crimes. A crime is a crime, no matter who did ..maoists or royalists. But the Shah dynasty must go for good.

Two wrong doesn't make one right. The royals are paying price for their wrong deeds. Their unpopularity is at peak. They will be held responsible for their wrong deeds, I have no doubt. What will be their future? I dont see their future but may be there are people who do. This thread is about Baburam and his loss. I believe that until these crooks that are responsible for the downfall of the nation will be held responsible for their actions. They should not be above citizens and the blood of the 15,000 victims, their families and the entire nation is grieving for justice against these crooks. The maobadis are spoiled now. They enjoy immense wealth and power. People are forced to cough up the asked amount when demanded if not then you loose your life. There is only one way to survive in Nepal is to pay the maobadis for the amount they ask. Forceful extortion is at peak. Can you imagine how much money they have amassed by extortion and loot?? They will not giveup this "power" regardless of political change. There are still people who idolize maobadis. I dont want to say anything but pity them and wait for the time when they will understand the consequences of supporting blood sucking crooks in the name of the anti-royals.

Shiv, You cannot make critical analysis if you are biased about some events. Your only intention is to try to show what the Maoists are doing is wrong. You should also understand many Sajha readers have ability to judge what is wrong and what is right. Everybody hates violence. Everybody detests bloodshed. But there are people out there who want to sacrifice themselves rather than kiss butt of feudal in Nepal. Nepal is not the first country in the world to revolt against the corrupt system. If you have even read a little bit of history of world there are dozens of country who have sacrifice millions of people for freedom and social change. Probably we are already too late for this kind social turmoil. Even Nepal Congress leader agree Maoist movement has brought many positive changes in Nepal society. Probably that is reason they agree to work together against the last Feudal Shah dynasty of Nepal.

>> You cannot make critical analysis if you are biased about some events. There is no reason to be biased about any events. you need to look at the facts. >>Sajha readers have ability to judge Of course they do. But I only speak for myself. >> Everybody hates violence YOu are wrong. You dont if you did you would not voice FOR the maobadis. >>Nepal Congress leader agree Maoist movement has brought many positive changes in Nepal society Speak for yourself dude unless you represent Nepali Congress. Before you endorse Nepali Congress you need to look into their history which is another subject. I will write more some other time. >> If you have even read a little bit of history of world Yes I did study history in college. The lesson you take from history is to learn from your past mistakes but it is never to repeat it. got 2 go more later..

>>Nepal is not the first country in the world to revolt against the corrupt system. Ok. Who is revolting against whom? Did you forget when the maobadis started their "revolution" multiparty rule was in full force?? Their aim was to kill all the parties and the parties were anti-national, corrupt etc back then. Now they have partnered with the parties and the parties are now saints?? Now the maobadis want power. They are not talking about social change anymore. They are talking about political change. And what is political change? It is nothing but power and more power of course wealth is embedded in it.

>>Nepal Congress leader agree Maoist movement has brought many positive changes in Nepal society. Lets think more about this statement. What positive change have they brought? Villages have been empty. People have crowded sadarmukums, cities and many have taken refuge in India. They cannot go back to their home. Their homes and lands have been forcefully taken. You call this good change?? Pre-teenagres, teenagers and adults are forcefully recruitted. And you call this good?? They have destroyed bridges, banks and infrastructure. You call this good? I can go on and on but the point is- Violance is bad, endorsing it in any shape or form is worst. Nepal will not be better unless we, common citizens fail to understand and see above and beyond corrupt personalities, unfortunately we have corrupt leaders in all fronts including palace.

Ignitor , Baburam wants her mother to live 5 more years and other he doesn't care, coz next day they can just issue a press statement saying we are sorry. Ignitor , even some people think shah dynasty is good , i agree some people like u will also think maoist are doing great but remeber one thing if KinG G will be brought into International court so will be Baburam Bhattrai and Prachanda. Ignitor my professor use to say some thing rember this all your life " SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING, NOTHING IS BETTER THAN NONSENSE" thats what i feel of your statement and so called maoist revolution.
