Oki one more... and Red, newuser, nirman.. thanks....
one more I have
The sun shines bright, the air all warm,
A surprise I might find today in mother nature's arm.
Mischevious eyes waiting for somthing to come
So far away.. but feeling right at home.
The river sings to me the tales of its heart,
of the faces it has seen and the stories from the far.
Engrossed I sit on the lap of my mother,
Soft breeze telling me, she also finds me close to her!!
Many like me have come and gone,
But mother tells me she remembers everyone.
The little boy who had dreamt of tomorrow,
The boy who had laughed and died without sorrow.
Never knowing what had taken dear life away,
He was smiling even when death was here to stay.
Mother tells me to her all lives are equal and devine,
Even the lives of people who's eyes have gone blind.
The people who took the boy's life away,
Are as special to her as the sun is to day!!
She smiles and tells me of the brave little heart,
Who had not blinked an eye while with her life she had to part.
While the flames of death wanted to consume her brother,
She did not run away or think any longer.
To the devil with the gun she sacrificed her life,
Not with a frown, but with a smile.
But now in mother's eyes I see sorrow,
As she looks at me with tears on her brow.
"The devil who sat there with a gun,
I am shamed to admit is also my son.
My love for him was as much and as pure,
What I have done wrong, I am not sure.
Every now and then I see some of my children
With eyes full of sorrow, their life like a burden.
For ages I have seen them grow together,
Then comes a day when they fight each other.
When I gave birth they were all the same,
But as they grew their heart burns with a flame.
Some of their fire is as soothing as a song,
But other hearts burn with hatred so wrong!!
I have lived long and am fatigued my daughter,
To see all my children killing each other!!"
This part of mother I had never imagined,
Her eyes so sad and her brows so wrinkled.
The river now seemed like the tears she had cried,
The wind laughing at the failure of her tries.
The sun had now set, darkness engulfed the world,
"This my daughter is my story untold!!"
