Samsara, I wonder if you have ever been a leader in your life. I also wonder if the notion of leadership you have managed to acquire is from some cheap B-rated movies. The title of a King is a pretty noble one. I have and will always respect that. However, what King Gyanendra did was not leadership. A true leader would never divide a country, irrespective of the beliefs he shares or does not share with the oppositions. He never made any effort for dialogs. How could he forget that the rebels that he felt so okay to kill were his people too? Did he make any effort to bring the opposition to the table? I think not!!! Thats where he failed. He put lives in danger, he made enemies out of people who were mere countrymen prior to his leadership. He divided the nation. Thats where he failed and thats exactly what maoists did. By the way, dont call me "son." I dont eat your bread, I dont drink your wine. Save those ghetto language for your kins.

Samsara darling,
I am not denying the atrocities commited by Maoist and neither should anybody. Also same goes to the king/state whatever term you prefer. To say that only few civilians were killed by the RNA (then) is laughable.
Why are you comparing nepal to cuba and n korea? Nepal will never be a communist state. Nepal needs its neighbors for almost everything b/c we are landlocked.
As a matter of fact you cannot compare cuba with russia or even russia with china. All are different countries and they have their own unique characters. Technically russia is no longer a communist country yet it is not a fully democratic country either. China is a communist country and yet they are doing business like capitalist.
Let me ask you this: if somebody makes an argument that communism is great because look at china they are going to be second largest economy, which they are, will you give credit to communism? No right?
similarly, just because Maoist are commies doesn't mean they can change the system of government in nepal and will turn into a totalitarian govt. I annot guarantee that it is impossible however people will rise up against them in the same fashion they rose against the king

Ok Bodega azzhole...When did the Maoists first start terrorizing Nepal? Back in 1997 fool. Was the King in power then? Not, lil fugcka. You wannabe historians just make me laugh my insides out with you rhetoric. The King was NOT in power when the Maoists had already killed 10,000+...It was Girija and his cronies who should've provided the protection, ain't it?? Now go back and brush up on your dates in contemporary Neapli history! Can't beleive that lil wannabes like you try and mess with your dad here. Come back to papi, son so I could give you more lessons, aight??

Samsara, Well if GPK and the others messed it up so bad the King should've had an easy time making that tad bit of change that would've made him an icon in the country. Guess what? HE DID NOT. Thats the reality, and its not even history yet. Its still being played out in the present. Dont be upset like a little bit(h just cuz the maoists are about to "papi your arse" and theres not a damn thing a little prick like you can do than type a word or two over the internet. Lame if you ask me...

So you are worried about PAIN caused my Maoist. What about the things NC and UML has done(If I start, it will take a long long time to finsih it).
NC and UML gave us PAIN when we gave them our trust.
Maoist - we have yet to give them our hopes.

Bodega pasa,
good to see you back and i agree with your comments.
samsara, I can say the same thing about king too, after he came to power his armymen came to houses of Peeps I know and care about and terrorized and took money and jewelary from homes. This happened to several people in the kathmandu valley.
This is not the time to point fingers at each other. It's not helping. For people like us living abroad just wait and watch is the only thing we can do.

Samsara, I thought you were sensible enough to talk in a decent way. Look at your language-straight from the streets of Jackson Heights!!! When are we going to learn to discuss? Look at Lootekukur...even though he disagrees, he has kept his cool! You guys should learn something from him. And, honestly, I know he is one of the most knowledgeable person at Sajha.

VincentBodega, you lil gerbil...Hypocrites or multi-personality Psychizos like you make me wanna put my dick in your mouth and make you choke on it. Again, going back to history lessons, KG was in office for a mere 17 months before he got sent packing. In his term he did more to the Maoists than GP and his cronies ever did. The death toll reduced significantly and HE initiated the talks with the Maoists (whcih GPK and his cronies did not) which was always being hampered by the SPAM dickheads. Did you just sleep though those years as it feels like I'm talking to someone who just came outta living under a rock for 10 years!!

Samsara, I was in the country during that time and you are wrong. All King Gyanendra did at that time was go on trips all over the country with his tough upper lip. That is all he did. Nothing more and if I am not lying, someone is. I wonder who that is now ...

Nepal is neither going to hell nor to heaven. Unfortunately, it will stay put right here on this earth and we will be talking about it's problems for at least another 5-10 years till things break one way or another.

SAMSARA - i dont think your unmatured brain can handle political issues. You dont even know how to debate. Anybody can use foul language to emphasis their point. May be thats how you were raised and you might think its natural.

it's a strange discussion, we have a government now elected by people, don't know how many countries would have it. Every time people need change, people have come out in streets and gotten it. Don't see anything wrong with Maoist coming to power, common it's not general election, it's a election to write constitution. Maoist's got two years to come up with things to impress people, there's another election coming up in two years. UML, NC & Maoist all have two more years to prove themselves. King & Multiparty democracy can't exist in Nepal. there can't be two powers ruling the country. Maoist has promised something, saying they are gonna do something to country. Give em a chance n decide 4 urself if they are gonna make or break the country. UML and NC were killing the country men slowly, taking away employement oppurtunities, corruption, development projects, and how can you feel like you can survive with those parties???? Maoist killed, UML & NC created the environment for Maoist to grow. When Maoist was a small insurgency, those parties neglected em and now let em pay for it. People will come to street again, if Maoist fail..:)
