Dear Nation Loving Nepalese,

I have heard enough crying of Anti, hope you all have too! I just finished watching King's interview following his trip to different parts of Nepal. I have found him to have a much greater understanding of Nepal and Nepali people's needs than any other so called "democratic leaders" of our country.

I was wondering, if anyone would be interested to welcome our King in NY. Just like when people in Germany didn't protest against the Nazis, they were considered pro-nazis. Our silence is not our weakness, but actions do speak louder than words.

Those in East Coast, I urge you to make your presence felt. I do not want to follow the political leaders because I do not plan to become a minister or an ambassador.
Peace is patriotic. I say yes to national interests and interests of the poorest people of my country.

Let's all realize we are all Nepalese. We all love Nepal. Lets give King a CHANCE. Let's welcome our King and let him know we do stand by him and our country as true nation loving Nepalis.

Jai Nepal

If I have to pick one from King, Girija, Madav, Deuba, Surya B. Thapa, and other Nepali politicians, I will defiantly choose to King.

At least, He is doing all his best to save Nepal. He is the best one so far.

At least, He is not corrupt, has strong command power and strong personality for Nepal and Nepali.

Do your best and Do contribution to Nepal. Do not blame to King, Evaluate own yourself.

Have you ever contribute to Nepal for anything or any causes?

Go ahead and lick Gyane's boot, why not do an abhindan to him from NRN, I hope people in sajha understand Nepal better than people living here in Nepal, similarly, king Gyanendra understands Nepal better because he goes everywhere and talks to commonners and that is broadcasted in NTV.

Now everyone opting for republican Nepal, king has made many enemies. Somebody in one of the posts said that king had taken a good step in setting regional offices in surkhet.

He had directed so some one and half year ago during his abhinandan days. How come he forget it and again issue a fresh directive that it should be done within 3 months.

It shows king does not care much about people but pretends to be a good listener. Everywhere he went, from abhinandan days till today, people asked for peace.

Did he do anything for peace? Instead he made RNA even more aggressive. Does he think there lies a military solution? He asked Deuba to hold elections in six months, now he himself as chairman of minister council, has not been able to hold elections. Instead he goes on with his face-saving propoganda throughout the country.

As a king of Nepal, there is no wrong in welcoming him, but as a person who has not done enough to ensure peace in Nepal, does he need a warm welcome?

So all the people welcoming him in US, I will conclude with a Nepali proverb

achano ko pir, khukuri lai k thaha?

Keep up bootlicking panches of Sajha!!!! Hope we can see your pictures in Nepal television, I hope it NTV will repeat that moment many times, Good luck!!!!!!!!!!

I think its funny how these aKing Supporter are blindly following the MOST CORRUPT AND THE CRIMINAL HEAD of the country. I want to say something to "nationalist 5". He is comparing Gyanendra with other politicians which doesn't make sense. We are not picking these politician to be a king and slap a autocratic system to Nepal for hundreds of years. These politicians will come and go and people have the power ro remove them. But this kings family has pushed our country so far back that it is almost impossible to come out of the ditch. People have no brain when they start criticizing the 13 years and ignore 250 years. What does this prove? Most of the people who are doing this either have no brains or are in favorable position with Palace being in power.
C'mmon people wake up, do you accept Paras as your king/God/Bishnu? Who drives Harley and his guards push the people out of his way in the middle of the city. They show power and shot guns in the public (thanks god, I was in that club when Paras's bodyguard fired").
Gyane is the most Corrupt person in our country, anywhere from drug dealing to murder, what has he not done during Panchayat? Now, being in power he is mass-murdering people. I'm so far away from where the demonstration is going to be but my full hearted support to everyone who is going to demonstrate against Gyanendra.
Lets say yes for democracy, yes for freedom and "NO" for the "Nirankush Sasan".

If you can't do anything good for your nation then don't try to be foolish by organizing demonstration against King.
We should unite and not divide. Don't show your foolishness in the foreign land and just welcome king.
I hope king is trying to bring the nation in the mainstream.

Jai Nepal

Dear Patriotic Nepalese,

Lets continue to say yes to the King and his vision of democracy. Even King is pro-democracy. He is a democratic constituional monarch. He is trying very hard, with our support he will succeed regardless of the pressure from our enemies.

Somebody called patriotic Nepalese Mandaleys/Paches: Yes, I am a mandaley if being Panchey means---

Not agree with the corrupted leaders of Nepal, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH with them.
Being willing to give King a chance-- if those morons can have 15 years, let him have 3
Not saying what country can do for you, instead what you can do for your country. Definitely not protesting in the streets of NY or DC like a begger.
Having pride in Nepal's history and being a Nepali

Shree Pashupatinath le hami sabaii kalyan garun

I think those who are organizing to protest the King are scared to death. They are using all their HATHKANDA to publicize their program and very much scared that whether they would not seen or heard. They are more scared when they heard King's recent interview.

***CORRECTION ABOVE***

americans living in ktm protesting abt GAS price hike in the US.

**********************************************************************

there is a time and place for everything...like it or not when a person who is representing your country, visiting a foreign land is also representing his fellow countrymen living in that foreign land. so if not for the head of the state, at least have some self respect for yourself by not being foolish enough to join the protest!!

Was Nepal more peaceful 15 years ago ?
Were most Nepalese happier, more prosperous 15 years ago ?

I think the answer to both the questions is YES. I feel Nepal has been heading down a slippery slope ever since we got 'OUR DEMOCRACY'. I don't blame the democratic system but the people who were incharge and who were more interested in promoting their self interest and filling their bank accounts.

The reason I want to give King Gynendra a chance is maybe just maybe he has the ability and the will to bring peace and prosperity back to our country. Three years is all he is asking and three years is what I am willing to give him just as I gave the democratically elected leaders 15 years before I started speaking against their policies.

I look at Pakistan and President Prevez Mussaraf as an example. He came to power by toppeling a democratically elected government and pretty much single handedly turned pakistan from a terrorist infested hellhole into a 'IMPORTANT NON-NATO ALLY' of the US. He stood up against India in the Kargil incident and though there are people who have tried to assisinate him a couple of time, most pakistani support him and are pleased with his regime and his policies.

So, after 15 years I am willing to wait 3 more years to see MY COUNTRY PEACE and PROSPEROUS'

Jai Nepal

Here is a micro-story with an open ending for adult thinkers. Reader's discretion is advised.

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

A man sexually assaulted a woman WITHOUT her CONSENT and then proposed, "Will you marry me for next three years ?"

-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --

NepalKoChori and other pro-king posters,

You have given your verdict in favor of the man. So, No questioning on that. Let me instead try to show you how those three years are going to be.

You have already seen the honeymoon. Not a single day of all those 210 days until today has gone without disturbances from unruly crowd. Not only that, the unruly crowd seems to be more and more determined- not only to make the forced marriage fail, but, as the fresh news are coming in, to lynch the groom itself.

What do you think the groom will accomplish in the remaining two and half years ?

*** *** *** ***

The King needs not 3 years but at least 5 years (preferably 2X5=10 years) and, of course, a popular mandate and legitimacy (to silence the unruly crowd at least) to bring a lasting peace in the country and to put the country on a track of reconstruction and progress.

If and when the King asks for that, I don't see why any Nepali should refuse. I wouldn't.

So, if you really care about the King and the country. Okay, let's not talk about the country. So, if you really care about the King, please don't throw him to a burning fire of illegitimate and constantly protested takeover. He will burn to death. Assuredly.

Instead, ask him to do things properly, which is very simple, if he really meant what he has been saying in words (not in deed indeed). Ask him to declare an election and his candidacy for the head of the government. That's all.

Oh well, we will need some amendments in the constitution for that. But with consent from all- UML, NC and other parties (except perhaps those 57 paper parties Sachit Sumsher was talking about) as well as the Maoists, it can be achieved within less than 7 months, which the King has already spent without any accomplishment towards peace and progress anyway. So regard this as done.

So, the question is, does Gyanendra has guts to ask people for support (for mandate) or is he a coward and shameless fellow who would keep ignoring black flags and protests.

What does he think he can do amidst constant protest from all political parties and growing number of people ?

Waste a precious time of our country. That's all. And not to mention to be ousted most disgracefully of all the Kings of history.

Talk to him at Pennsylvania Hotel on 17th, will you ?

DUHHH neither is the king ignoring the black flagers nor is he dancing over nepali flag supporter who support him. he is going about doing his job to bring peace back once again in the country.

Without peace nothing can be accomplished and majority of Nepalis want peace first and foremost as indicated by recent visits by the king to various parts of the country.

Nepe:

I didnot know that one could sexually assult someone WITH their CONSENT....

How about if:
A man sexually assaulted a woman 'WITH' her CONSENT and then proposed, "Will you marry me for next three years ?".

and what does sexual assult of a woman has to do with leading a NATION.

Leading a nation is not a beauty contest where the most popular person standing wins...
As a leader the goal is to bring peace and prosperity to the nation. One has to be able to do what is right for the sake of the people, things don't happen overnight. After 15 years of pessimism in our country .. i have seen hope, i see someone who MAY and I say MAY be able to bring back the peace and prosperity we enjoyed a long time ago.

More than anything I see the sovereignty of our country at risk, I see the risk of our country disintegrating into a number of smaller state fighting with each other or the risk of becoming another ' SIKKIM' . I believe at this moment King G is the only person who can bring our country together. I could be wrong, but I just want to give him a chance for 3 years.

be PATIENCE and PEACE shall PREVAIL.

today our nation is faced with two options: PEACE or DEMOCRACY

those who favor peace, believe democracy cannot flourish without peace....and i suppose those who favor democracy, believe peace is only possible when there is a complete democracy. if we really look and think about it, our differences aren't that different after all. that is why at this point in time we all need to be united and not take our difference to the street, that too of a foreign land...how sad and unfortunate will that be.
