Bhanubhakta was one of the first school to have computer curriculum instituted in Kathmandu and we were one of the first among few other schools to be in the first batch to appear in SLC with Computer Science as one of the subjects.

i don't think RJ Thakuri was great teacher or principal in Bhanu. He was principal in Bhanu for lot of years but didn't believed in Bhanu quality itself. Thats why he sent his daughter to st. marrys school instead of bhanu....what do u think???

Why are Bhanu studenst ripping their own school? Or are they mole? Thakuri sir's daughter went to St. Mary's as that was not a co-ed school, and Thakuri sir might have more reasons to send her there than have the hassel to go after the guys who were after his daughter. Later he just didn't have much choice and admitter her to his school (class 9 & 10).

From what I know, the first school in KTM valley to introduce computer classes for students was AVM. The computer Lab at AVM was also considered the lab with the highest number of computers amongst other schools in the valley at that time.

Table tennis court was built when i was in class 4 or 5. New Building of +2 and east side building was built after my graduation. I remember Manju Miss (math teacher not so sure), Duo of Mahdu Khanal and Shambu Khanal, Prem Kandel Sir who taught me in my primary and MaDhuri Miss ( who always like show her navel body) Song Lyrisist Navaraj Sir. I also remember Kamala mam(Science Teacher) , Ranjani Miss, Indira maam, Pramod Sir, Rudi golmes and its sotry about Jhon Lennon, Rita miss and Ritu miss Pravin Sir, and Accountant R... I also remeber that Science teacher...... Rizal who later caughted in the rape case. Maya miss Geography teacher, and Sir geography teacherI forgot his name ( Sir who have his hostel in maharajgunj and have a famous jokes with Jhuma Miss) No Body mention about Sama miss and her sister :D,coz of Dhiren Dai?? I also remeber compounder ( next to hostel) and Navin Sir ( who used to check our hair and nails when i was in primary) Hey Dhiren dai, i never know that thakuri sir used to teach in the school, I know Shambhu sir used to teach in Geography. Hey i remeber another indian computer teacher whoes name starts with M..... and another psycho math teacher Subedi (may be Bijaya). Hey what about disgusting library??. Narad mani Sir join school around 94 and i dont have any idea about other teacher mentioned above. I can recall ranjan bange I remember that taharo class in rainy season and underground class 5A and 5B. and Samosa pasal and Rs2 Samosa. . No computer during my time. Spent 2 and 3 in primary building; drank Kuwa ko pani a lot :) Spent 4th and 5th class at underground. 6th in chhapro at the corner. 7th close to our pani khaney tanki, used to be TT cemented board. 8th the top floor, newly built. At 9th, the students were categorized; good, better and best; accrodingly students were separated in different sections. === Baldev sir was good. I was his students for consecutive 2 years. Then Pokharel (7 and 8) sir (forgot his first name), then Gairey. == Chyangra, English Teacher (Rajendra?)... stylish fellow. == Potyak's daughter was my classmate, we never got chance to attend his class. Late Ishwor Gurung, my favorite teacher, taught us in 10th. == Jhumma miss (many of here might not know her except Sai Ram other few) taught english in 10.; ndira miss in 9. == Probably, there was not a dance teacher during my time. But I was in Sagarmatha team (?) We used to play volleyball. == Samosa = Re. 1; orange ball= 3 or 4pcs in 50paisa. == RUBY and Pranaya yugal jodi. Pranaya sir was our maths teacher in 8th, i was his fav. student ;) Ruby din't teach us; I heard later both of them (from Daz) married. == I am surprised NO one mentione about DEVKOTA sir whose laugh was such a FAMOUS one. == I heard R K Thakuri is no more our principal. == Sunil KC was our Science teacher in 9th/10th; i think he left the school after that. == Have attended ex-students gathering in 1999 where Sai Ram's speech was there. Sai Ram: we went to Sundarijal for picnic, remember? we played badminton too :) [1991, i guess] == we were among those who went for strike for the MORNING CLASS (during 1990 soccer world cup); we did it; class used to start at 6am and over around noon. == Ale din't teach us; but i was on the queue to experience his LAATHI while being out for a while in a class break :) == Bom Dev MOKTAN (?), i think he is a senior maths teacher now. == Long Live BBMSS !

btw isnt it ishworlal sir's POTYAK name was because of his potato shaped belly??? As far as I know, Protractor (geometry ma angle naapna use garne instrument) jasto semi-circular bhudi baata Protek hudai Potyaak ma apabhramsa bhaeko jasto lagcha. One of our classmates asked him "Sir, tapai garbhawati hunu bhaeko ho?" He looked very very upset with that question. He was a great teacher though, taught us in class 10.

Feels pretty good reading thru each and every single word in here, doesn't it? Because we all belong to it.. Its agreat joy to recall the stuff we did in our school life.. R K Thakuri actualy taught us too. and he was a fine teacher. i'm not sure if he taught full year or just fiiled in for the absent math teacher.. Ale taught us in the 10th. i still remember that i got his trade mark punishment "one mistake five sticks" for not bringing Living English Structure Book in class. And other day i was one of the very few student who survived from the punishment in a Antonym Synonym quiz. Jhuma Budhi was a fun teacher. Nepali teacher Ghimire sir was pretty fun too. He used to come to boys side and crack jokes about wild girls when they didnt listen to him in our heavily girls dominated (in number) class (10 grade). Do anybody remember the Account teacher who replaced Dante (Rameshwor Shreathe) after the big scandle? I can write on and on and will never run out of it.. But this is all for now, more on next. VB

Vakunde, I was spared from Ale Sir's canes but did receive quite a few khottas from Jhuma Miss, "dalle" bhandai. Both were great teachers. Ale Sir taught us in class 10 when Jhuma Miss was absent after her husband passed away. I can not thank her enough for her recommendation letter that must have played a crucial role in admission to a US college. After the scandal, Parshu Ram (I think he was either in admissions or accounting) covered for the rest of the year. Khagendra Baidya was the new teacher after that but I think he was there for only a year or two.
