I am new to sajha. I heard pretty good things about it, hence am here. But what I see is only about 2% (approx, haven't done a research) of the total threads are worth a read, which leads me to conclude:

* Only about 2% of the total users are mature.

* Rest are into "What you had for lunch", "Person above me"(have no idea what is that about), "My favorite body parts" and all.....

Is sajha always like this, or best days are yet to come? Or shall I change myself, or shall I quit it for good?

you seem so sensible!!!.....what I suggest is ..scan the threads....read and post only on threads that have mature content (dont take the wrong meaning)....and if u find threads that seem like childish pastimes...dont post there!!!!!It is simple ...see....U CAN DO IT!!!!!...

I never go to such threads; but it can't be said non-mature for people participating in those threads. So how about this thread then? What is worth a read be determined by our particular interests and tastes. What interests me may not interest others; so be glad that there's a whole sort of diversity here.

Sajha is like an ocean, you can find everything here, but you have to dive deeper to find precious things. You have just seen the surface, be patient and time will gradually show you what's inside. :)

Wow! I am humbled by all your responses. Good to see all of you. You care what I say and that's a treat to me in this otherwise mundane friday.

I am not a net fanatic. I meet with some nepali buddies of my place once in a while. Someone said a lot of things about this site. It took me a month to build up the curiosity to a level when I decided to register myself as a user. As of now, I have gone through only disappointment though. May be there is other side of sajha which is not so conspicuous. I may want to oogle through it. But am harassed by some worthless to a couple of pennies worth discussions.

No offense but:

What did you have for lunch - Why not sms your bf/gf and ask/tell him/her. Why sajha?

Person above me - Why not email him/her and know more about him/her in person?

My favorite body parts - Why not look into the mirror and keep your penny with yourself?

A gift for my valentine - Why not use the time of coming in sajha to going to a gift shop? EXPLORE!

Some sensible discussions like that in the "marwari" thread and others deserve a better place....not in a podium where personal stuffs get the higher priority. I feel cheated!

I will. I will bring some good stuffs worth discussion (healthy and heated), but what is the point in briging 'em when most of the space is flooded by 'lunch', 'looks' and 'person' kinda threads? I would not want my threads to get sandwiched in junks!
