well, thats one thing atlanta dude. I remember using master card (debit)in Kathmandu in 2006.It worked for first few times..but later they freeze it and did not work. When i came back and called the bank, i was told they locked my card coz' it was used in foreign locations..what can i say..card security.

well dude, its better to inform your card issuer that u will be using the card outside u.s., if u are planning to use a lot of it in nepal.

that's a good point.  check with the bank.  but still it is taking a chance.  i think there is a better luck with american express card.  maybe things have changed between now and then.

It works back home and I have tried both debit and credit cards........Debit card fees is around 300 rupees and  for credit card, they charge you few extra percent of your transactions.....gud luck!
