Nepalese love for Prasant should be well defined as racism, not nationalism.So there is no matter to debate on whether to vote or not. Although he is Indian national, he has strong love for Nepali race. Some of you in US may already be permanent resident of united states..that means should we hate you? no no..we should love each other that is because of shared race, culture and religion.

Prasant should be praised for being of Nepali origin

It'S the IDENTITY CRISIS. You people have nothing to be proud of, that's why you were after Kiran ( CNN ) some months ago and now it's the turn of Prashanta ( Indian Police). Throughout history, you people were proud of the Gurkha's bravery who fought for their Gore Saab. I wonna be surprised if one day some of you declare a Bahadur of an Arabian ( New edition of Indian) as a martyr and a great hero for his BAFADARI who has died to save his owner's dog.
Is there any national identity to be proud of? If Bhupi was alive, probably he'd have written a poem on "स्वाठै स्वाठहरुको देश".

Nationalism is another form of raciasm. For me in whatever way u differenciate ppl ifrom the race they belog to or the place they belog to rather than theri individual trait is racism. If you like Prashant for belonging to a Nepali speaking community then it is 100% raicism. It would be better if we like him for his better singing. I mean the idol thing is for the best singer, not for any race or nationality so ....

if people are happy to drain money for their favouries let them do, whats the problem. nobody is forcing anybody to vote or like and dislike. people can enjoy their choices and have rights to support.

I don't watch Idol, I don't the time and energy. But I'm proud of a Nepali origin individual making headline. Do we have too many choices that we now have to diss Prashant. It's not like we've famous stars, scientist. Who do we have, I'm asking to the people who're jealous, should we be proud of politicians, the king, maoist or even lame ass Nepali stars who've migrated to foreign countries, ADIOS to Nepal?

it's certainly not racism,

those nepali speaking people know the sorrows of degrading nepal and obstacles we are facing as a nepali, one could be a nepali beyond natinal boundry if he loves nepal, his forfathers were nepali, he speaks nepali, he doesn't care about the boundry drwan in sugauli treaty, that is why he calls himself nepali, he knows the indian hegemonism against nepali speaking people, he faces it every day in those streets of calcutta and delhi, he knows how nepali lady's are sold in indian brothels, and he feels their sorrow and he knows how india is craving for nepal's land day to day and he knows many nepali speaking people who doesn't have citizenship instead being there for more than 20 years, he knows how indian system fears greater nepal which has no boundry.

has ever anybody read "BASAI" ? you know why they had to migrate, even though they tried to say bye bye to their economic hardships they could not just say good bye to their way of life, their cultural, their identity, and their feelings towards their forefather's land, thats why they love mother nepal that is why they are nepali.

Prashant Tamang is more nepali than that president of some madhesi organisation for say upendra yadhav of that forum, prashant tamang is more nepali than that of matrika yadhav of mao party.

I know most of the guys here are abroad and they dont want to return NEPAL. of course everybody love, carea and think of Nepal, that does not mean we are a true citizen of Nepal.
