I'm tired of these young Nepali wannabe rappers coming up shitty songs that is sore to your ears to say the least. Let's not even talk about the nicknames they've adopted.

I dont understand why Nepali hip hop wanna-bes and rappers have ever shot at each other in gansta warfare and as far as I know no one have ever been killed in ganasta shootouts.

To shoot at rival gansta rappers and to get shot at multiple times is "must be" criteria if someone wants to become a real hip hop artist or a rapper.

I guess more than 90% of pro-rappers get shot at or shoot at someone before (or while in ) they get into their "rapping" carreer. This is true from Dr Dre to 50 Cents.

By the way I dont care if they get shot at or shoot anyone because I wont be the one to die or get busted by the cops. I'm simply a birdwatcher here to tell what I see.

I started the thread coz all the 'Da this' and 'Da That' springing like mushrooms in Kath recently and are coming up with crappy music. I personally like 2PAC, 50CENT, Dr. Dre, JayZ -- not only for their style, but for their good hip/hop music. But the Nepali hip/hop songs that I listened to are just plain bad. And I guess most of them have music videos that air on national/cable television. I can only imagine why people in Nepal are switching channels when Nepali music videos are aired. I wonder what kind of sales does this kind of music generate. Is it any profitable for the producers or are most of them just rich kids coming up with their own money for the production?

I don't understand why kids in/from ktm nowadays like to write in pidgin English - with da for the, frens for friends, adding zzzz at the end of words. Has the proper English writing lost its appeal?

the biggest problem is there is lack of words for them to sing.
whateva they sing is like limited in SANI, KHANI, PANI, RANI etc....
Just imagine how rappers use word here. i can hardly remember any songs
without words like F**k, mofkr, bitch, negrs and stuffs.
now imagine in nepali how exactly that will sound if nepali artist use the same words in nepali version.
so whatver words they come up with is appreciable even though they are not catchy
and are carppy.

IN my opinion no one in Nepal is capable of becoming a real rapper or hip hop artist
because they lack the fundamental criteria for becoming so.

I dont care if anyone disagrees with me or not but in my opinion every real rapper or hip hop artist must have:

1. Been shot at at least once
2. Shot somebody in a drive-by shooting
3. Been wounded in a shootout
4. Wounded someone in a shootout
5. Have some prior criminal record
6. Be a member of a notorious gang
7. Have a single mother as an only parent
8. Dropped out of high school (because of drug addictiion)
9. Done drug/arms dealing to support the lifestyle
10. Fired from job

11. Must have served a time at a state or a federal penitentiary
