Deuwa in jail. Arju crying. Khucching!. Let the king run the show. Fine. Case closed.
Well, not so. We are just the janata- appropriately termed as Veda by Madan Krisna/haribansha in (which show is that?) some show. We, the Janata, the Nepali Janata, just watch. If there is a Julus, we watch. If there is Ghoda Jatra, we watch. If the bomb squad is diffusing a bomb in the middle of Maitighar, we watch. I even ran a few kilomters to watch a helicopter once. Half of us believe our king is the orchestator of the palace massacre. And we revere him now. Hey, what is wrong with us? Who taught us to be this compliant? Is it our culture, religion, DNAs? Why don't we use logic and common sense and question ourselves? (Talking of logic, why has none of us ever invented any cart or wheel burrow so that women don't have to carry the heavy gagri in their waists?)
Okey, back to the topic. I don't know where Deuwa's dollars are. Honestly, I don't. Do you? How will we know? How will folks like you and me who are busy working for paying bills (that too in dollars) know where Deuwa buried his dollars? Oh, thats easy. Did the Royal Commission not find it? I think they did. Maybe they did not. So I imagine it was stashed in a restroom of a 7-11 store in Denver. And I go to sleep. My part is over.
Now, when then king's family and some others got killed inside the palace, there was a transparent investigation. There were evidences and witnesses that showed that it was not a conspiracy. Many of us who had not already hardwired our brain with the conspiracy theory, were able to use logic and convince ourselves that it is not likely that it was a conspiracy. Am I absolutely sure it was not? No. But to a fair degree, I am convinced. But casual circumstantial evidences say that it was a conspiracy. Is that sufficient to held our beloved current king accountable for that episode?
So if Deuwa has stashed his dollars (actually it is ours.. oh wait, not ours. It was ADB's and Japan, Britain, Norway etc. country's) in the restroom in a 7-11 store in Denver, let the investigator's find it. Not only find it, but bring it out so that you and I can see. (yucks!!) Otherwise, guilty by suspicion is the business of a Kangaroo court. Let the accused be tried in a court. Let them defend themselves. If found guilty, let the law punish them.
(P.S. Don't go looking for the restrooms of 7-11s in Denver. They stink. Its not worth it. I tried.)
