I just heard on the NPR an interview with the Nepalese Ambassador to the U.K., something Rana, and he infuriated me. Instead of condemning the killings, he simply said that ýthey were ILLEGALLY crossing from Jordan to Iraqýýý.they were in Iraq ILLEGALLY.ý My question is, why is this bastard Rana using the word ýILLEGALLYý twice in a twenty second interview instead of condemning the killers? Why is this jerk head implying that it was the fault of Nepalese that they were killed? This Rana, whoever he is, should be forced to resign from the Ambassadorship since he is not fit to be an ambassador.

The Nepali government must begin to care about their people and the conditions that force them to seek financial gain elsewhere-even in a war-torn, dangerous country like Iraq. What does that say about Nepal if people see Iraq as a better alternative to financial gain? How sad...how terribly sad that no one did anything to stop this from happening. There were protests in the streets when a Filipino was caputred - this pressured their government to negotiate the life of one person and it worked! There were protests in the streets of So. Korea when one of their own was taken and beheaded. Are the people of Nepal so apathetic that they don't care about their "brothers"- why weren't they protesting in the streets? Why weren't we flooding our representative in DC with phone calls and letters? Why are we so goddamn passive????? I guess we already know that the government of Nepal is completely apathetic...I feel awful for the families of those 12 brave men that were unjustly killed. I feel even more awful that this message board is filled with so much hatred and we are so reactive that we as a people have not cared to get involved until now.

First of all, condolence to the bereaved family. This indeed is a very sad news.

I was listening to NPR yesterday and there was a news about drivers in Iraq. Turks, Indians, Pakisthani and Nepali were mentioned to be employed as truck drivers delivering the supplies to the American soldiers. Therefore, there is no question that there are still Nepalis working in Iraq. Is our government aware of this? I hope our government does everything necessary to protect those who are still in Iraq.

No one beside Nepali government and faggot king is responsible for this mass murder. People protesting for stupid Girija could not board in plane with respect and they do not care about 12 people who were been abducted in Iraq. Now every one's eyes got opened when they got killed. The stupid priminister did not even say a word to release those people. He has no shame he still a priminister who does not feel like saying a word when people being killed everywhere. Can these Girija's PUCHAR stop burning the tree and stop vandalising cars and think about something productive. Violence on the part of Nepalese to the Nepalese Muslism is not the solution.

Maybe we can help by signing petition that is put up in one of the threads. That might not help much but it at least shows that we care.

All they wanted to do was work their asses off at any menial job they could get so that they could earn a few bucks for their families that they simply found impossible to earn in Nepal. What a sad commentary on the state of Nepal and of the world in general. What a way this century has unfolded..both in Nepal and in the world!

It's really sad to see these poor souls be hounded from Nepal by the corrupt, self-enriching and utterly incompetent politicians/governments that have slaughtered the economy and the murderous Maoist leadership that convefniently hides behind India while it turns Nepal into a rubble in the pretext of saving it...only to fall prey to the greedy middlemen who dumped them into the hell that is Iraq, probably to earn a few extra bucks that the suckers were going gobble instead of sharing with these men.

And these self-righteous terrorists in Iraq...they are the cancer of this world...them and their ideologies...and this group is the worst of the worst...if there is such a scale of these terrorits. When they realized they had caught the wrong prey and that there was really no demand to be made against them, they just decided to take the life of these 12 people, instead of letting them go. No matter how hard I try to convince myself that all major religions are good in nature and that they emphasize the same basic human values, only in different ways, this one appears to be different. Yes there are a vast number of peaceful Muslims, but as far as I can tell, that's IN SPITE OF the hatred, violence and oppression this religion preaches, not BCAUSE of it.

Why were these poor souls killed when countless other hostages in Iraq from other countries have been released? Did the government do enough? And what's with the Minister of Labor as well as the ambassador in England emphasizing these people were in Iraq illegally? What the f**k are they talking about? Your citizens are hanging by a noose and what you do is publicly blame them?? If that's the best they can say in public, how sincerely did they try to save these poor souls?

I am also disappointed by how much coverage the fate of these folks received in the US, especially beofre their killing. I can't blame the US for the fact that these gorkhes are dead, but the fact is that these killers are pissed off at the US. When one European or a Japanese gets caught, it's a big deal. When these 12 poor souls who would be the US armed force's cooks and cleaners are about to die, it's not a news. I have always understood that US is a big bepari nation at heart and is mostly driven by its econimic interests, but when there is such a massively tragic human story linked to its glorious quest for "freedom and democracy" in the Middle East, I would have thought the US media would think the US population would want to be informed, although the souls whose lives were on the line were from farway Nepal as opposed to any other country with which lots of dollars could be traded.

This is totally a sad and grieve moment in our lives and our way of living. It is very sad to hear excuation of 12 Nepalese who hasnot commit any crime. First, of all they cant live a peaceful life in nepal. They have to go to iraq working for 2o thousand rupees a month to feed the whole family.
Whom should we blame? Should we blame our goverment? should be blame mOaist? should we blame them or US goverment? The way i look at the things here is all connected. The whole propoganda is making a big issue here. There gives a way for oppostion to make a fuss even they could have done nothing even being in power. I normally do not pay much attention to affairs regarding Nepal or Nepali citizens, but this one hit too close to home. I pray for a sweet retribution against the perpetrators, this act of senseless violence shouldn't go unanswered. We are humans, we expect to be treated as one, regardless of our status, our economic background, our religion, our nationalily or our political ideology. There is no excuse for mind numbing extremism.

I think I will echo with most of you. I saw the video....and nearly threw up, I feel numb, all I feel like doing is staying alone. Those people must have begged for mercy to live. The first person's throat was cut open..twice..and the videographer shot the video form a very close range .These cowards who hide behind masks and religion to justify their killings. The rest of others were shot at close range from the back..what must have gone through their heads....They did not deserve to die like that, no one does.

There are just too many people to blame which is of course after the fact. Starting with Maoist problem which has pushed all the nepalese to leave nepal and search for alternatives to make a few bucks more. Our government: which has time and time again failed us. Nepalese government never reaches its citizens in times of need. Just making statements on TV is not going to help you have to find a way to reach to these people and resolve the issue. May be even travel to these countries if need be but hey talking in front of a TV is much easier and on top of that if you cant express yourself properly in english please dont speak english esp if you end up saying all the wrong things (prabal rana blamed nepalese for working in Iraq he is ambassador to uk)

Then we have the vandals...who do nothing to help but put the country in a state of chaos and add to the mourning. Most nepalese vent anger in all the wrong places and all the wrong time. Destroying home/businesses of Muslim will do us no good. We are supposed to be a peaceful nation and in my experince no other race have I seen is more violent than nepalese with or without alcohol. Hearing/seeing this my moral burden towards nepal decreases each incident.

(3) Nepali Government Officials ý Bribery, illegal commission, corruption.

(6) Nepalese Political Parties and stupid Political Leaders.

Cannot blame for Iraqi Militias.
(1) Any stupid know Iraq is danger place and war zone

Must solve problems immediately:
(1) Must Arrest and punish very hard to Manpower Agencies.
(2) Close and shut down Arab and Muslim country Manpower Agencies at once forever.
(3) Victimýs families must get compensation.
(4) Control Muslim access and monitors Muslim activities in Nepal.
(5) Must Restrict Muslim Religion spread inside Nepal. Nepalese were becoming muslim because they pay cashs

It is truly more than bad happening. But it is relaity and true.

Ansar Al-Sunna, the group who beheaded and killed 12 Nepalese are the extreme terorists who came into existance only few years ago. The fight for recognition between different terrorist groups has caused vigorous comeptition amongst them to be gruesome. Ansar Al-Sunna has never negotiated and has killed including deputy prime-minister of Iraq in the past.

These Nepalese unluckily were in the hands of these gruesome terrorists and had their fate. They seem to understand even before that they were going to be killed. On the video, most of them said that this was going to be the last time they were wishing to the family.

I doubt if anything could have been done by the Nepali government to stop this.
