Hi,
What is the safest and cheapest way to send money to Nepal? I was using Moneybookers (Skrill) but the receipent said that he was not able to move the money to his bank account. So I need to find some other way.

How much are we talking about? If it's a smaller sum, Moneygram/WesternUnion is your go-to place. If it's over 4k, send it via BOA. They charge $35 bucks but exchange rate is higher.

I found MoneyGram to be the most convenient. Not sure if it matters if you are sending outside the KTM valley. YOU can use your debit card easily and the fee is like 10 for around 1000 and 27 for around 3500. Not sure in-between. People used to say that you have to fill a whole bunch of paper while sending amount greater than 2000. All they will ask you is DL and your SSN # (not actual SSN card) and your profession. and the rate was good too. yesterday it was 99.366. Hope that helps..
